The Golden Age of Waterfalling

Now available for purchase: The Golden Age of Waterfalling, a privately published work by Chris Ecklund and local author Rose Keefe that celebrates the rich and vibrant history of Hamilton’s waterfalls. The intent of this niche publication is to allow Hamiltonians to appreciate the ‘waterfalling’ experience of a hundred years ago, via original photos, postcards, personal stories, poetry, and even a Victorian picnic menu! The authors are proud to offer this illustrated contribution toward the preservation of local history.

The waterfalls photos were compiled with assistance from the Special Collections Department of the Hamilton Public Library. Joseph Hollick, chairman of a local waterfall group which includes the Hamilton Conservation Authority, the City of Hamilton, and Tourism Hamilton, provided advice on content.

Price: $20.00 each including shipping. Copies can be autographed at your request.
