For years, I have advocated the use of volunteering and philanthropy to strengthen the city of Hamilton, improve its image, and keep alive the spirit of community pride.
As you go through my official site, you will learn more about my
waterfall initiative, which rebranded Hamilton as the Waterfall
Capital of the World, as well as past projects.

City of Waterfalls is a celebration of Hamilton's many waterfalls and how they collectively make our great city the Waterfall Capital of the World. Mr. Ecklund was pleased to create this new initiative that will forever change the way the world looks at us and how Hamiltonians view themselves and our city. |

Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice is a not-for-profit organization incorporated in 1991. It provides supportive services to individuals and their families who are living with life-threatening illness. Mr. Ecklund was happy to donate a new site to such a noble cause. |

Bring the NHL to Hamilton catalogues the colorful history of hockey in our city, and encourages its future prospects, such as bringing the NHL to Hamilton. Mr. Ecklund created this site as a tribute to the past and an impetus to bring a brighter future. |

Hamilton Earthquake Relief at the present time documents and encourages Hamilton-based relief efforts for the survivors of the Abruzzo Quake, but in the event that a similar disaster occurs, the site will continue to be a relief effort portal. |

Hamilton Hikers is dedicated to all the trails, paths, and other neat places in Hamilton to hike and walk!! Like the City of Waterfalls site, this one encourages Hamiltonians to explore and appreciate the beauty of the local forests and trails. |

Athletic Trust is a website that Mr. Ecklund donated to Hamilton Tiger-Cat Athletic Trust. The Trust is one of two Funds established in perpetuity when the Tiger-Cat Football Club passed into private hands in 1957. |

Hamilton Waterfront Festival of Lights offers an assortment of colorful reasons why the Hamilton waterfront is the ideal location for a family-themed festival of lights. Like the City of Waterfalls web initiative, Mr. Ecklund intends for this website to have a positive impact on Hamilton's image and tourism. |

The Hamilton Santa Claus Parade website received an attractive new look in November 2007, when Mr. Ecklund donated the services of his web design team. The revamped and revitalized site is Mr. Ecklund's gesture of support for a cherished Hamilton holiday tradition. |

Access to All was sponsored by Mr. Ecklund in September 2008, when it was announced that the closure of the Adult Emergency Services at McMaster was a threatening possibility. In creating the site and Facebook group, Mr. Ecklund is championing the cause of Hamiltonians who will be adversely affected by this closure. |

Allison Park- Soon after the Allison Park neighborhood association was founded and organized by Mr. Ecklund in 1999, he arranged for the construction of a community website. The Allison Park neighborhood is also the site of many amenities and improvements that he has initiated. He hosts, organizes and sponsors many events throughout the year. The site is paid for and maintained by Mr. Ecklund. |

Maddie's Wish Project is Mr. Ecklund's tribute to the courage and spirit of 15 year old Maddie Babineau. Maddie used her wish with the Children's Wish Foundation to build a school in Kenya, and her dream to equip an entire village is being carried on by her mom, Sharon. |

Your Canadian Connection is Mr. Ecklund's gift to the city of Hamilton. By facilitating the arrival and establishment of American-owned businesses in Hamilton, Mr. Ecklund intends to boost the local economy and firmly outline the many reasons why Hamilton is an ideal location for incoming foreign entrepreneurs and companies. |

Ecklund Art Gallery was founded in 2007 by Mr. Ecklund. The gallery and website, which is its virtual counterpart, are Mr. Ecklund's gift to Hamilton artists, who have long been in need of an international forum in which they can showcase their work.
Mr. Ecklund feels that Hamilton's illustrious assortment of landmarks and scenery deserved to be immortalized in unique, one of a kind paintings. He is in the process of commissioning local artists for this assignment. |

Wingfest.ca is Mr. Ecklund's show of support for the current movement to have Hamilton not only host its own WingFest, but also compete against Buffalo, which is world famous for its wings. The website is Mr. Ecklund's gift to the city, as a Hamilton WingFest would have an enormous impact on local tourism. |

Auchmar.Info- Mr. Ecklund visited Auchmar for the first time during "Open Doors" Hamilton, on May 6th, and was astonished by the grand beauty of the property and manor house, which was once the home of the Honorable Isaac Buchanan, leading Hamiltonian and at one time the most influential merchant in Canada. Mr. Ecklund's purpose in sponsoring the construction of Auchmar.Info is to educate Hamilton residents about their own rich history as well as honor those who contributed to it.

Mineral Springs Online- In June 2007, Mr. Ecklund purchased a property on the Mineral Springs Road, in rural Ancaster. Research into the property's background convinced him that the colorful and vibrant history of Mineral Springs had to be rediscovered and preserved. Mr. Ecklund has assigned a full-time researcher to rediscover the community's history and preserve it via the Internet. Mineralsprings.ca is his gift toward the preservation of Ancaster history. |

Sulphur Springs Online- like Mineral Springs Online, this is a tribute to a now-vanished Ancaster community that was once a destination for those seeking improved health or a cure for a serious illness. Many still visit the famous sulphur spring today. Mr. Ecklund purchased a property on the Sulphur Springs Road, and has expressed his intention to put the community's history online for permanent and easy access. Sulphursprings.ca is his gift to local heritage preservation. |

Nascar Camping- Mr. Ecklund created this unique internet resource for those who combine their love of NASCAR with the RV lifestyle. The site contains a popular fan forum, photos, stories and camping details submitted by site visitors, and a blog with Mr. Ecklund's insights on NASCAR-related topics. NascarCamping.com is Chris' gift to the racing and RV community that has become an extended family. |

The Ontario Lawyers’ Assistance Program (OLAP) website is Mr. Ecklund's gift to a worthy organization that he has served for years as a peer counsellor. OLAP offers professional counselling to Ontario legal practitioners experiencing stress, addiction, and burnout. Mr. Ecklund, whose companies provide litigation support to North American law offices, was happy to further support the community by making OLAP's information and resources accessible via the internet. He presented OLAP with a newly designed, fully functional website in the winter of 2007. |

Living Clean is a long overdue television program committed to increasing the awareness and understanding of addictions through live interactive television. Mr. Ecklund is a personal friend of Glenn Allan, the show's charismatic host, and worked with Glenn to freshen its web presence. Mr. Ecklund donated a new website, LivingClean.ca, in the summer of 2007 to send the show's message via the internet. |

Adopt a Park is a unique concept that allows Hamiltonians to get involved in their local communities by adopting a park either through their companies, groups, organizations or even themselves. This website has been designed and all artwork has been created by Mr. Ecklund as a gift to the citizens of Hamilton and the City. |
